I am going to put pictures up of the house as soon as we get our shutters put in. They are taking what seems like forever! Hopefully they get put in sometime next week. I traveled a lot this summer, but didn't take a lot of pictures. Right after school ended, I went to Chicago to visit my fam. Brett didn't come with me though. Just a girls trip. My sister Amy met me there. It was good to go home again and dig through my old stuff. I found the most hilarious pictures! We also went to Texas for the 4th of July to work at my Dad's resturant. It was fun and exhausting at the same time. Brett somehow ended up in the parade dressed up in a pizza costume! It was quite embarrassing! He walked up to me in front of everyone and gave me a huge hug! I'll spare everyone the pictures of that incident. If you really want to see pictures of the parade, you can go on facebook and find Whizzerville Hall.<br />Well one of the first things we did this summer was meet up with one of Brett's friends from college. I actually went to high school with him, but Brett had a ton of classes with him. We walked around Vegas and watched the NBA finals at Caesar's Palace. I'm pretty sure we were the only ones cheering for the Celatics! After, we walked around Vegas and saw the water show at the Belagio. <A href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgHqy-jlLvdDsh9qW8hCj_XKXADvWezVM5BXI72Je0fryqVUjtWloDipUSsDIy5cl5Nkn9qUQbM38-onwVVoXumkw4-ZvkAWa65_U5S8Zucwnfcs8keks9uawB9DqQRr9XPGyf8XkQALYi/s1600/111.JPG"><IMG style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id=BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506965074511087186 border=0 alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgHqy-jlLvdDsh9qW8hCj_XKXADvWezVM5BXI72Je0fryqVUjtWloDipUSsDIy5cl5Nkn9qUQbM38-onwVVoXumkw4-ZvkAWa65_U5S8Zucwnfcs8keks9uawB9DqQRr9XPGyf8XkQALYi/s200/111.JPG"></A> <A href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4C5ahVGr1b7tYd9AESgKTF0-grwblDIgXDKkid79a8UxUMXATJy-rU1aei6Q7w1LElwgmxCnbzAstxDc1oXOBXqPE5GqIaqOECO30UrUXd1IsiBzBpReTPio6cTQpUacwuaxDFekjugXw/s1600/118.JPG"><IMG style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id=BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506965661764370338 border=0 alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4C5ahVGr1b7tYd9AESgKTF0-grwblDIgXDKkid79a8UxUMXATJy-rU1aei6Q7w1LElwgmxCnbzAstxDc1oXOBXqPE5GqIaqOECO30UrUXd1IsiBzBpReTPio6cTQpUacwuaxDFekjugXw/s200/118.JPG"></A> <A href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcEmNRc3kqAROvNCpKOiipTFW4Rp4cKV7RWd2xrpBJoP-9_fU8Z7cFNLZIpMhp3u_Lh9Krg9GdmBtfxRJWBU2qhzlks6N2IomNOBJKUl6RPjmW_bPWza9_pV7Dmzje0DNcYGaj2wOxjqVk/s1600/119.JPG"><IMG style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id=BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506965961340624866 border=0 alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcEmNRc3kqAROvNCpKOiipTFW4Rp4cKV7RWd2xrpBJoP-9_fU8Z7cFNLZIpMhp3u_Lh9Krg9GdmBtfxRJWBU2qhzlks6N2IomNOBJKUl6RPjmW_bPWza9_pV7Dmzje0DNcYGaj2wOxjqVk/s200/119.JPG"></A> There were ducks in the water and I was terrified that they would get shot up in the air by the water! I know I'm a nerd! <br />Next, my friend from college Kristy came and visited me:) It was fun to hang out with her again. We went to the Rio casino and laid out by the pool, took our dogs to this huge dog park, went to dinner at BJ's and went to this really cool place called Artrageous. It's a ceramics place where they already have premade things for you to pick out and then you paint them whatever colors you want. They fire and glaze them there and you can go pick it up in a couple of days. Kristy picked out these really cute little dishes and painted dolka dots on them. I decided to make something for Brett for our anniversary. It took me forever and I decided that I'm not a painter. But, it was fun and relaxing.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMnb1-LE2tSzsh6frbv_KNkov6-Ouy-uMg1pRCaPmRvy3tY4pXEir6km7LqQR1UqVCispsKTCSRHJAey7pH8b_lptfdoBmEK8jic0kyA__FbLwzudqsVKNUXpImE0fK-CAt1cSvJ18KUBI/s1600/133.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMnb1-LE2tSzsh6frbv_KNkov6-Ouy-uMg1pRCaPmRvy3tY4pXEir6km7LqQR1UqVCispsKTCSRHJAey7pH8b_lptfdoBmEK8jic0kyA__FbLwzudqsVKNUXpImE0fK-CAt1cSvJ18KUBI/s200/133.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506981601515998306" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaR0D-wWgRQBvEyHO80IS_d7534UlNWJk4SS2aZf_3ot1UwG2_3VQsCR6pz5BYdyKSr4yq3sjlUCY-0g11gnGIdnZvEJG-sLAjsHGQHu6RX_kAaCJiQvBDMaKdPPk1p6uq2dNFRk8Wr_lZ/s1600/132.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaR0D-wWgRQBvEyHO80IS_d7534UlNWJk4SS2aZf_3ot1UwG2_3VQsCR6pz5BYdyKSr4yq3sjlUCY-0g11gnGIdnZvEJG-sLAjsHGQHu6RX_kAaCJiQvBDMaKdPPk1p6uq2dNFRk8Wr_lZ/s200/132.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506981594602978850" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSOEhhMyBVy7IDghJn7PXBuHdZ2W-YY45DYwEM9nFbYl3ii3-ymQpKDTxsAaNaXtM8gDyqcO1xavAPmspt_6EWH9HlbHxg8vE_h43rxRc4Zvq1RVP_vZ9aPYPq1BFk1RbMlHfQwJPGKC_H/s1600/130.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSOEhhMyBVy7IDghJn7PXBuHdZ2W-YY45DYwEM9nFbYl3ii3-ymQpKDTxsAaNaXtM8gDyqcO1xavAPmspt_6EWH9HlbHxg8vE_h43rxRc4Zvq1RVP_vZ9aPYPq1BFk1RbMlHfQwJPGKC_H/s200/130.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506981588246589202" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhojyNzwiSFYrTqhKUoz7533zqohAqVRXw8l5KANV7qsqOUXft5byC5S5gFkrzHLelLj0sWdhuUkZ7kbW-ognuQ_RDgviIPdT2WiqNWHTxHeUCMy6NVbs17ONII1RffyVJF3Yo6OF7nr3hi/s1600/129.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhojyNzwiSFYrTqhKUoz7533zqohAqVRXw8l5KANV7qsqOUXft5byC5S5gFkrzHLelLj0sWdhuUkZ7kbW-ognuQ_RDgviIPdT2WiqNWHTxHeUCMy6NVbs17ONII1RffyVJF3Yo6OF7nr3hi/s200/129.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506981579108509394" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheGRNCdGKNtyIIbx5ZFyff0V1d7sZOV4-V1I_Vs6pQK_10QjMI9UTIOIFOCA6m82k83FeFX85HAqk_oTsxdKAfk73CJgHp66MjGJ5BBK6v5OWwthejgBSOp0MeaxhGTr1hl0RBJzybhdMi/s1600/128.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheGRNCdGKNtyIIbx5ZFyff0V1d7sZOV4-V1I_Vs6pQK_10QjMI9UTIOIFOCA6m82k83FeFX85HAqk_oTsxdKAfk73CJgHp66MjGJ5BBK6v5OWwthejgBSOp0MeaxhGTr1hl0RBJzybhdMi/s200/128.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506981572675047474" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWgyP_gDNaxkVrJei4aKZsfxhBp8B5QWcRnY6CeUoFx2wHj3K_Ynr16kq8qmSLWd-Gx5UStZOCK4oi_tX41rMvymukDekjqdvBHm-Ethb0SJ5u79mNLf3B6fIEo9mQQcuRYhYovTLy4G0A/s1600/135.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWgyP_gDNaxkVrJei4aKZsfxhBp8B5QWcRnY6CeUoFx2wHj3K_Ynr16kq8qmSLWd-Gx5UStZOCK4oi_tX41rMvymukDekjqdvBHm-Ethb0SJ5u79mNLf3B6fIEo9mQQcuRYhYovTLy4G0A/s200/135.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506981864713336754" /></a><br /><br />Soon after she left, my friends from high school came down for a Bachorlette Party for Jamie! Let's just say it was priceless!<br /><OBJECT id=BLOG_video-792e158231184751 class=BLOG_video_class width=320 height=266 contentId="792e158231184751"></OBJECT><br />We seriously had the time of our lives that night! So many random and funny things happened! Like Whitnee randomly falling out of nowhere, getting into Coyota Ugly and Eva Night Club and Kristin whipping out the type writer:) Good times:)<br /><br />The next weekend after that we went up to SLC for the 24th. We went out to dinner at this place called the Red Iguana. It was pretty good and it was featured on Diners, Dine-ins and Dives! I love that show:) We went to a Bee's game after, which they lost. They whole game the benched players kept looking back at the stands at the girls! It was quite disgusting. This cougar in front of us kept hitting on Brett's cousin while his date was sitting right there! And the benched players were hitting on her the whole time. But she did say something pretty funny to them! They threw her a ball and she wrote back to them saying "I don't do a $20,000 a year salary. Call me when you make it to the big leagues!" Haha they deserve it! <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS2iEgRh_o_v7GoIUy3LFvNoUeKNZ6Ld4KlPL-92jB0UMFcUoNITVCG_z-dWDWPtGk5qVOGONajp0JPHDV9DAfzd0lShFqIg81u5CDeBSAamJQiDIdfVYf95u7MrnVTmlk5yGs7lhNLrfS/s1600/143.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS2iEgRh_o_v7GoIUy3LFvNoUeKNZ6Ld4KlPL-92jB0UMFcUoNITVCG_z-dWDWPtGk5qVOGONajp0JPHDV9DAfzd0lShFqIg81u5CDeBSAamJQiDIdfVYf95u7MrnVTmlk5yGs7lhNLrfS/s200/143.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506982856593823666" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJMxXY7SgDIjRbpMBJdGYUrzX6VH2WC00UFODn6uR-WzwKLUOPb4LwYgoWgrt62XXruNvS9Qymcg0VItNWcPTn42KFtGE1AIKpwyilp6fAitDH18-2vvmqgg7SkZWkSGACj0hhHjs7P0L2/s1600/141.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJMxXY7SgDIjRbpMBJdGYUrzX6VH2WC00UFODn6uR-WzwKLUOPb4LwYgoWgrt62XXruNvS9Qymcg0VItNWcPTn42KFtGE1AIKpwyilp6fAitDH18-2vvmqgg7SkZWkSGACj0hhHjs7P0L2/s200/141.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506982853632015010" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5wbIyZfAkLVfJhlKz0q6wEnYVfM0dalf4Vi8oRuOSKlISVVVTNtK-Ld7yffF5Bdn6B832AyNAJCkn7M3R4-UFv1QSF4FXWECYqlva-vGH3HO2mfzEs3SKYI9yJcgp0Ku_vLyCYL_0xJPU/s1600/140.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5wbIyZfAkLVfJhlKz0q6wEnYVfM0dalf4Vi8oRuOSKlISVVVTNtK-Ld7yffF5Bdn6B832AyNAJCkn7M3R4-UFv1QSF4FXWECYqlva-vGH3HO2mfzEs3SKYI9yJcgp0Ku_vLyCYL_0xJPU/s200/140.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506982845661324402" /></a><br /><br />Because it was the 24th, they had fireworks after. I had only briefly told this story. I had never really sat down and wrote the whole thing out. What a day it was when I gave my talk. I'm pretty sure that the people in the ward recognize me by my talk! It touched a lot of people that day, and I was proud of myself;) So here it is!<br /><br />I was asked to give a talk on my conversion story. Everyone has their own unique story. I want to begin with a book I had received Way to be: nine ways to be happy and make something of your life by Gordon B. Hinckley for my baptism. I remember reading about being humble and the book states. “Being humble does not mean being weak. It means being teachable. It does not require us to be trampled upon. It means acknowledging where our strengths and abilities come from. It also means recognizing that we are not here on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others. Recognize that everything you have-your time, your talents and skills, your health and energy, your accomplishments, and your very lives-come as free gifts from your Father in heaven. How humble we ought to be to think that he knows who we are, and that He is waiting to guide our every step.” God will make a way, will open a window, will show us a road even when it seems there is nowhere to turn. I knew choosing to get baptized was going to be difficult at times, but I knew Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father will always be there. Here is my story about true love, disappointment and my road to conversion.<br />My story begins when I was 19. My parents had recently moved to Chicago and I decided to stay to finish school in Cedar City, UT. I look back at that decision knowing my parents were upset and realizing I would be on my own for the first time. Something told me to stay. I moved in with some girls and battled myself daily on my decision. “Was I following my head and not my heart or vice versa? “ Until one day in late August of 2006, I saw my friend from high school helping some people move in across the street. My friend I walked over to say hi. That very moment was the moment of my first day of new beginnings. I had met the man who would be the one to save me. He would truly love me for who I am, not what everyone else wanted me to be. As soon as we locked eyes a rush I have never experienced came over me. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that moment was the first day of the rest of our lives. I can remember it like it was yesterday. Every time I become upset or confused, I go back to that very moment. That moment of love at first sight. We ended up running into each other at school a couple of times and finally exchanged numbers at a bbq. We began hanging out and I soon realized that I had fallen hard for him. But I was scared because he was Mormon and I was Catholic. I had been hurt before by guys who broke up with me because I wasn’t a member or the parents didn’t like me because of that. The only thing I thought would prevent me from heartache was building up my wall and pushing him away. I told him we were too different for things to work. I wasn’t worthy enough to be with someone has great as him. So I tried, but I continued to find myself breaking down my wall and Brett fighting to break it down with me. I thought to myself “why would he be fighting for someone like me?” But Brett most of saw something I had never seen before in myself, my spirit. <br />We went for months being on and off. We made our relationship official in April of 2007. But a couple of weeks later Brett left to California to work for the summer and I was left in Cedar. I was back to my old ways thinking that things would never work out and I was crazy to think they would, especially now that we are having to do this relationship long distance. But I couldn’t give up on something we’ve both worked so hard on. I didn’t know what the future had in store for us or if there would even be one. But something told me to keep trying. That summer in early July I worked for a catering company and we did the EFY dinner over at the SUU institute building. That was the first time I had ever been inside an institute building. I felt something different, that I had never felt before but I couldn’t really explain it. I ran into a friend of mine from high school. We got to talking and I asked her if she could give me a Book of Mormon. I didn’t think someone could get that excited! She took my number down and told me she would give me a call tomorrow. I went home that night and thought a lot about the conversation I had with my friend. I thought a lot about my family, Brett and my past. I prayed that night and asked Heavenly Father for guidance because as stubborn as I am, I’ll need it. The next day as I was waiting for a phone call from my friend, a heard a knock at my door. When I opened it, there were two missionaries standing there. Surprised, I figured my friend had sent them. I began talking with them about my friend and they looked confused. They then told me that they just had a feeling to come to my door today and talk with me. Of course, I began to laugh and blew it off and didn’t think much about it. We set up a time for them to come back tomorrow. About twenty minutes later I got a phone call from my friend. I told her the missionaries had already come by and thanks for sending them. To my amazement, she was completely confused. She was sorry she hadn’t called me earlier because she was busy with EFY and that she was going to come by later that night to bring me a Book of Mormon. I asked her repeatedly “are you sure you didn’t send the missionaries?” She told me that missionaries she would have sent would have been two different guys anyway. I called Brett immediately and told him what had happened. He said to me “you don’t think that’s a coincidence do you?” I tried to think of every possible way the missionaries knew to come over. “There’s no way?” I thought. “Why had they come the day after I had talked with my friend?” I now look back at that night and know that Heavenly Father sent them over because He knew that I was finally ready. <br /> As I began taking discussions, my family came into my mind. I knew how disappointed they would be and that they would think that I was doing this all for a guy. When the missionaries asked me to repent of all my sins, I imagined myself making a huge list and the bishop sitting in a chair sleeping while I read them all! Until it was further explained to me that it was different from Catholics. You just have to pray to Heavenly Father and ask Him for forgiveness and promise never to do it again. Even knowing that I was still apprehensive. Those missionaries must have had lots of patience and funny stories to tell when they got back home about me. I probably asked way too many awkward and weird questions and said some random things. But, those missionaries stuck with me and I will be eternal grateful for what they taught me. <br /> One night while thinking about my life and where I was at, I had a revelation and wrote about it in my journal. “I went to a Catholic school for eight years. Religion class was a class that I went to everyday. But I moved to Utah when I was thirteen years old. Right as you’re really beginning to start to understand who you are and want to be. Also at thirteen I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. And to learn that for the rest of my life, I’ll be living with the fifth deadliest disease took a huge toll on me. I felt so alone and confused as to why me. So I did the only thing I knew what to do. I turned to church. Every day, no matter if it was in the middle of class, I prayed to myself. My family and I started going back to church, but sporadically. After they moved I found myself going alone. I would go and try to fill this emptiness and this desire to feel like I belong to something and if people asked I could tell them. All I could think about when I sat there by myself was how I felt abandoned and lonely even when I was at church. All I wanted was to be taught, but no one would ever give me the time or day at church. I started to think, why I should believe in something when the only thing I learned from it is to feel abandoned. I wanted my faith to be something I believe in, not just something I know. And for the first time people wanted to teach me and help me understand. And I finally felt that emptiness is finally being filled. Before I moved here, in seventh grade I had to write a paper on Mormonism and at the time I didn’t understand why this would have any significance to me. I realized that these aren’t just coincidences but promptings from the Lord. I didn’t know whether to act upon these signs because I didn’t want to hurt my family. I was hurting and confused so I prayed. Tonight I felt as if I could feel him helping me. I realized that I needed to start acting upon these signs and that’s why I decided to covert. I feel happy and a relieved that I’m starting to realize who I am and what I need to become. I’m proud of myself for the decision I have made and for the major step I’m going to make to improve my life and to come closer to my Heavenly Father. I couldn’t thank Heavenly Father enough for the guidance and patience he has shown me. He has guided me to find myself and help fill this emptiness that I have been so afraid of filling. I know it will be hard for my family to understand my decision. But I will still be Emily just much happier about life. They love me and I know all they want is for me to be happy. My heart feels filled and Heavenly Father has guided me to find my soul. He has opened my eyes to so much greatness. I couldn’t go through this journey without the Holy Ghost by my side. I never thought that something positive could come out of my life. I had a rough time along the way, but it led me in the right direction. For the first time in my life I realized that I am diabetic, but I am not defined by diabetes.” <br />On August 25th 2007, I was baptized a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by the missionaries. Brett was there with his family supporting me. When it was time for me to bear my testimony at my baptism, I got up there and acted like I was giving an acceptance speech for an award ceremony. I said things like “give a shout out to my friends in the back, thanks for coming!” The best part is, I ended it with “well that’s it thanks!” I wonder what people were thinking. They probably thought I was crazy or something. I now know how to bear my testimony correctly without the shout outs and ending correctly, instead of well that’s it! Someone should really make a book for recent converts of all the things you should know before bearing testimony! <br />Three weeks after I was baptized, they called me to be a relief society instructor. Yes, I was probably as shocked as you are. I thought, “What are they thinking! I don’t even know how to bear my testimony correctly, let alone teach this stuff!” But I learned so much and not just from teaching but from the other members. I still have girls from that ward tell me how wonderful my lessons were and how it touched them to see me grow and learn as a member.<br />On February 14th 2008, Brett proposed to me in front of the St. George temple. People are always curious and asking about how my family felt or how they reacted. Well let’s just say it wasn’t the reaction you hope for when you tell your family you’re engaged. My family loves me though and supported me through it. July 25th 2008 was a bittersweet day. We got married in the St. George temple. My family wouldn’t come to the temple to take pictures and throughout the whole day they were there without really being there. I knew they must have felt betrayed, but I was determined to show that I made the right decision. With almost two years of marriage, I can tell you that we have proven to them time and time again that it was right. Even though the time may never be right for me to have discussions with my family, I know I am being a good example and I will always have hope. <br />As I reflect on my story of true love, disappointment and my road to conversion, I realized that the road seemed unbearable at times and giving up would be the easy way out. I knew that fate had brought me to this door and I could choose to open it or turn away. How different my story would be if I turned around and didn’t go through that door. Or if I never would have walked across the street. Brett and those missionaries are truly my knights in shining armor. They did something that a bus load of people would never try to attempt with me. I truly thought at 19 that my life was at the end of its road. Down a path that I knew in my heart was not the path for me, but with no where to turn. Until Heavenly Father opened my eyes to across the street and so much more. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. <br /><br />There it is! The whole thing! Since we've been together, we've always watched his little brothers play football and basketball. Brett's youngest brother, Micah is a senior this year. So we watched him play basketball this summer and football in the fall. Hurricane made it all the way to the state championship game! But lost to a hail mary pass to the end zone at the last seconds of the game. Micah is a very talented young man and I can't wait to see how he turns out:)<br /><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tr><td><a href="http://smilebox.com/play/4d5451354f44497a4d6a493d0d0a&blogview=true&campaign=blog_playback_link" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="303" alt="Click to play this Smilebox scrapbook: " src="http://smilebox.com/snap/4d5451354f44497a4d6a493d0d0a.jpg" style="border: medium none ;"/></a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/?partner=smilebox&campaign=blog_snapshot" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="46" alt="Create your own scrapbook - Powered by Smilebox" src="http://www.smilebox.com/globalImages/blogInstructions/blogLogoSmileboxSmall.gif" style="border: medium none ;"/></a></td></tr><tr><td align="center"><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/scrapbooks" target="_blank">Make a Smilebox scrapbook</a></td></tr></table>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-46726407581663698062010-01-08T18:01:00.000-08:002010-01-08T18:07:39.637-08:00Niah M. I had school that day, and it was fun to have all of my students wish me a happy birthday and my mentor teacher brought me a cookie cake:) Brett came to my school and brought me flowers. I thought that was very sweet of him. When I got home, Brett took me to the Cheesecake factory. I just love Cheesecake Factory:) Then we walked along the strip. I was dying because I wore high heels! I wanted to look cute! It was a low key birthday, but I liked just hanging out.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzttE7KdnwITwLU39KZwOIhwrHyQU5NxpqtnbMq0fUtDJMfOiE0kz9uM4oSbOX7_5jf0husLKjDFRhpDbBS9IQB44uwj6en60GAv3l1B2OyTnRrlIkdLgNJZfsJDcdHR_awoijLew2svQn/s1600-h/003+page3+(1).jpg"></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423469134282495250" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguryvWB21Jx_ohSuackgqf6uYubgfC_c0MbzRHEvMksSHMVhgO6MAaah2Yrlj51S627HH-KK_4ns3X-Yz4dQxgdYJKBmL4bAvuLeesz9sp8x8Y1uKoVpcmvuQlfO0IAe6dtiBEEYKe4ihV/s200/003+page3+(1).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423469142008333170" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFwyyiDhVh18cV9KuCG83_8R08V8Y49OfLj9xP7qKzZTX5ndLJUXLnncFIOmvkgRESQHWzpIHhm_XZl8xrpotEShxQADvwsFXk50eDJHGyycZHL4fJ8dYmabqCuU95HmqrPaQxOAt06_wO/s200/005+page5+(1).jpg" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioPgYGf2P3sxlhNvPqGHUU7yHkvInTFuw5FFpBZPbuWsm4CCt3i0k12WeMn2dNmEMFaP_r9HDmpYTWcBQEU39l8EuIXiGSuQwS3E8y1R1gdaX2UA0acGBiRnTP7rgN7Ja5kepiOh8hsrvf/s1600-h/005+page5+(1).jpg"></a></div>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-9611332045002480672010-01-03T13:17:00.000-08:002010-01-03T13:37:40.619-08:00Field day May 2009As I reflect on the events of this past year, I realized how blessed Brett and I are. It's been a whril-wind of a year, but we've loved every second of it. I promised I would write more stories about this summer. So the next event after the baseball game was field day at the elementary school that I student taught at. My mentor teacher was pregers so I filled in for her:) It was really fun for all of the kids and it was great to watch them. A lot of the events the students particapted in, they got ribbons if they got first, second or third. That was a good motivation for them to particapate.<br /><div><div><div><div><div> </div><div>The final event was kickball. It was teachers vs. students! I played second base. I was alright, a little rusty. And I totally embarassed myself by running to kick the ball and completely missed. Picture Charlie Brown and Lucee kicking the football... Well that was me!!! We ended up smashing them. I felt bad, but we tried to "pretend" that we were playing and letting them score, but they still lost. But here are some sweet pictures from that day:)</div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyPX2s_SP79RgfqZhQUsb77JY-qogiK4F-72fflLlXxZMJ8AK-KI4HVzaaeiYJbgMCEjxLHFnJg4O5GV7luD0sXEOYkoOBauij70wUyFJAj0LanyURG2OKuSeKA4MXRqQkQOzKwRhPgrrD/s1600-h/CIMG1134.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422629747522094818" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyPX2s_SP79RgfqZhQUsb77JY-qogiK4F-72fflLlXxZMJ8AK-KI4HVzaaeiYJbgMCEjxLHFnJg4O5GV7luD0sXEOYkoOBauij70wUyFJAj0LanyURG2OKuSeKA4MXRqQkQOzKwRhPgrrD/s200/CIMG1134.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Look at that high kick!!!<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAXNoyanvbdtDWo4UyX1ss3pXuUyg4iiyX8ouY_Zs0SWjd1dXNnRsmOiiO5H4yhy-ysurpHs-eXVWhCPupF4Y7LSwI1myFLix7Q6X0vD1SvNarVLPR8Ys__5woEmA824ABnSaSYAQsw6_Z/s1600-h/CIMG1132.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422629735249493810" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAXNoyanvbdtDWo4UyX1ss3pXuUyg4iiyX8ouY_Zs0SWjd1dXNnRsmOiiO5H4yhy-ysurpHs-eXVWhCPupF4Y7LSwI1myFLix7Q6X0vD1SvNarVLPR8Ys__5woEmA824ABnSaSYAQsw6_Z/s200/CIMG1132.JPG" /></a>Playing second base.</div><div> </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcIIFypI10Nf-jJp5fjSIn6LDUkpyw41PNLhR2vHjA1jyMTd0KRiz-_y8O6sf-iA9WacXhKiM0mR8PWfQ-1rFAz32YEFKnKP2AjmB0n85D6LmfuqzWSPfNFIww-2u_cPk8RizFiyV3DW93/s1600-h/CIMG1127.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422629731271717378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcIIFypI10Nf-jJp5fjSIn6LDUkpyw41PNLhR2vHjA1jyMTd0KRiz-_y8O6sf-iA9WacXhKiM0mR8PWfQ-1rFAz32YEFKnKP2AjmB0n85D6LmfuqzWSPfNFIww-2u_cPk8RizFiyV3DW93/s200/CIMG1127.JPG" /></a></div><div> </div><div>The beautiful view from the playground.</div></div></div></div></div>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-46131544536455555902009-09-16T19:33:00.000-07:002009-09-16T19:56:43.487-07:00Las Vegas Baseball!<span style="color:#000099;"> So I promised I would start sharing some summer stories and I finally have some time to do so:) The first fun thing we did when we got to Vegas is go to a minor league baseball game. We went with our friend Martin that we went to SUU with and is a Sigma Chi. He is also a cop here! The Vegas is team is called the 51's.... Any guesses why? Well I was shocked to find out that their called that because of Area 51 and get this... Their mascot is an alien! Cheesy! It was fun to hang out and watch a baseball game. It was interesting to talk with all of Martin's cop friends. And to let them know if they pull me over to let me off easy:) Well to update you on work. I work officially as a kindergarten teacher and I absolutely love it. I can't imagine teaching anything else. The only down side is I have 10 kids classified ELL. Which means they speak spanish and little english. But its a challenage and I'm up for it!! Brett loves his job and it's fun to have him work from home. Well more stories to come:)</span><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju2X-BpsuR6PnrQGcUkU-u03ejbKKnPtXaY5JccKds9nDrHPPKgoz9AgRd4MiMheiw-fyPzzzw4_4dpZ9X4w52tgjVYkdnNNxUeOwdkZfpZJN0f-acm1GIRp3Bd3nKsI7RqderMa9fx-TL/s1600-h/summer09+005.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5382264041178562594" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju2X-BpsuR6PnrQGcUkU-u03ejbKKnPtXaY5JccKds9nDrHPPKgoz9AgRd4MiMheiw-fyPzzzw4_4dpZ9X4w52tgjVYkdnNNxUeOwdkZfpZJN0f-acm1GIRp3Bd3nKsI7RqderMa9fx-TL/s200/summer09+005.jpg" /></a></div><div>Brett and Martin</div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgogvot8OoX4hEiaDMO0HVtIZt0XIxIytql-DRS34zEqkuCxX9aHY4WkfX0C0qgTa4Z6c3ob6Jy_rLxP6fPw0YmQ_TsL-7bM3G8HlYFOc6z_QqIjK0WLiOjwHuBrqEqvb4klQ4kTn0RwhBy/s1600-h/summer09+006.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5382264334717858530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgogvot8OoX4hEiaDMO0HVtIZt0XIxIytql-DRS34zEqkuCxX9aHY4WkfX0C0qgTa4Z6c3ob6Jy_rLxP6fPw0YmQ_TsL-7bM3G8HlYFOc6z_QqIjK0WLiOjwHuBrqEqvb4klQ4kTn0RwhBy/s200/summer09+006.jpg" /></a><br /></div><div>Me and Brettly:)<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju2X-BpsuR6PnrQGcUkU-u03ejbKKnPtXaY5JccKds9nDrHPPKgoz9AgRd4MiMheiw-fyPzzzw4_4dpZ9X4w52tgjVYkdnNNxUeOwdkZfpZJN0f-acm1GIRp3Bd3nKsI7RqderMa9fx-TL/s1600-h/summer09+005.jpg"></a></div>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-46628842834822657532009-08-07T14:09:00.000-07:002009-08-07T14:22:51.563-07:00My summer in VegasGeez its been way too long since I posted something!!! I'm going to gradually post pictures and stories throughout the next couple of days of my adventures in Vegas. I had such a crazy, eventful summer. But I couldn't of asked for a better one:) I made some amazing friends along the way (who were my mentor teachers:)). I couldn't of asked for better people to go through this experience with. I followed them around like a little lost puppy and they were so kind and generous to me. I will never forget the students I taught. It's like when you remember your kindergarten teacher because it was your first experience of school. Well... I'll never, ever forget these kids and what they have taught me. They were the best class ever and impacted my life in so many ways. It was sad to leave but I know their only an e-mail away. I guess I should update everyone on Brett:) Well after a struggling summer with Living Scriptures, Brett landed an amazing job at Travelers Insurance as claims adjuster. He started this past Monday and loves it!! With this job, Brett gets a company car, new computer with printer and all the works, new camera, new cell phone and they pay for our internet!! Oh and the best part is.... WE GET BENEFITS!! YAY!! As for me and a job. I interviewed at Cahlan Edison Elementary for a kindergarten position, I know way out of my comfort zone, but I got hired on the spot!! Crazy! But with the different laws here, I wasn't highly qualified. So I have to take a couple of test down here and pass before I can get hired on as a full time teacher. So they were going to put me as the long term sub until paper work goes through. But.... If a school isn't title one then they could hire me regardless if I'm highly qualified or not. So I interviewed with Kim Elementary School for the KIDS program. Which is primary children ages 3-5 who have Austism. The interview went great and hopefully I hear back from them soon so I could hired on there as a full time teacher and not just be a sub. But we'll see. Wherever I need up is where I'm meant to be:) Oh and we're moving to Summerlin tomorrow!! I'm super excited to set up my new aparment. I haven't seen some of my stuff in a long time, so it will be like Christmas opening those boxes!! Brett's leaving me on Sunday till Friday to go to Denver for more training:( So if anyone's in Vegas call me!!! Well I guess that's all for now.. More stories and pictures soon:)~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-59056375777854634272009-05-21T12:17:00.000-07:002009-05-21T12:24:19.768-07:00Student teaching!<span style="color:#3333ff;">I love student teaching! Things are amazing here and I couldn't ask for a better mentor teacher! I do miss home though. It's crazy to think that we're done with school and starting a new chapter in our lives. I just want to get a job and start teaching already! Bubba is doing good in the heat. He's tired and sleeps a lot more, but he loves being outside. We live about fifteen minutes away from a dog park so I take him there to play. He thinks he's a big dog and can play like they do! I like Vegas more then I thought I would. We live by tons of convinent stuff. And my school is only five minutes away. I went to the temple last Saturday by myself, brett was working. The Vegas temple is gorgeous and I highly recommend going there! I was a little rusty remembering things though! haha! And it's only five minutes away from my house:) We still don't know what we're going to do after this summer. There's opporunities here, Cedar and Arizona. So we'll see were the path takes us. We hope to find out soon. My birthday is next Thursday and I'll be the big 22!!! I'm getting old! Hopefully Brett has something fun planned:) </span>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-6113573774488155042009-05-04T20:26:00.000-07:002009-05-04T20:52:59.483-07:00Graduation!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXZT-1UxoRa4vUNyPg-SBBlpQpH2pdSZbbpZUG7fkMD5PYkswerGRywKiASjKhl3xqUr34LzPknw3uPDg_5ik9C0JdIb-5E8iNpFgYiLxGEniVyMNLVJxPBZtg50M5k6Sq9Ftut3HbuEf7/s1600-h/Picture+419.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332182654494991522" style="FLOAT: right; And on Friday we had dinner with President Monson!! We sat so close to him. I kept staring at him!! I took photos on my phone so I will post them later. It was so amazing to meet him. I started bawling just standing next to him. It was so crazy!!! The spirit was so strong in there, it was intense! Graduation went by so fast. And there was a picture of me in te spectrum!! I look funny, but I will post it anyways! And now we're in Vegas and I started student teaching today. My mentor teacher wasn't there because she had a death in the family, so I went to a second grade class with a teacher who was an SUU graduate. She's an amazing teacher!! It was so good to see someone who went through what I went through! And to see her put the stuff we learned into action. The day went by so fast! Which is a good thing. I got to teach a center and help individuals on a math test. I did a lot of graded and fixing the students bubbles on their math test. I really want to stay in that class for my placement, but oh well!! She's a super fun teacher! Brett is in ogden this week for training for living scriptures and I'm all alone in a new house!! But I have bubba:) I will let everyone know how student teaching goes! Wish me luck;)</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-43121756021644914432009-04-09T11:22:00.000-07:002009-04-09T11:37:52.565-07:00Interviews and Placement!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU7jmUKi2VblFi0gfFFp6HyyPxuJ2K4NCDQxlM-cCbUnylDRdPMb1z6Okq2PH1fMPB7HcoRzhI9oOZAL-xNEfBgKqxVLyl8LmOsyLVcTpbKzkv2sGOmV0XCUmtDRu50_LtCN64zw08NpjI/s1600-h/schoolfrontBG2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322762681722256386" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU7jmUKi2VblFi0gfFFp6HyyPxuJ2K4NCDQxlM-cCbUnylDRdPMb1z6Okq2PH1fMPB7HcoRzhI9oOZAL-xNEfBgKqxVLyl8LmOsyLVcTpbKzkv2sGOmV0XCUmtDRu50_LtCN64zw08NpjI/s320/schoolfrontBG2.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLk0b7nweF9mqAJnkv4IV8w-f4Iby4RLRdiE3FO7TUYzR6BHzRwpvykjuL5Z0nXzRHEv7niouDix4xQowdO1ijzgH4WHx4iT4uoBhG4NEfgw8C51CEjWwLgSNSgQSyXukDqb3WHTPX_23t/s1600-h/LeavittGroup.gif"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322760989095658914" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 104px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 55px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLk0b7nweF9mqAJnkv4IV8w-f4Iby4RLRdiE3FO7TUYzR6BHzRwpvykjuL5Z0nXzRHEv7niouDix4xQowdO1ijzgH4WHx4iT4uoBhG4NEfgw8C51CEjWwLgSNSgQSyXukDqb3WHTPX_23t/s320/LeavittGroup.gif" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#00cccc;">So on Sunday me and Brett are leaving to Phoenix again! He has an interview with the Leavitt Group and their paying for his plane ticket, a hotel and a car to rent! Lucky! I have an interview with the Mesa School District for Special Education teaching job! But I had to pay for my plane ticket:( But hopefully the district will rembusre me! I'm really nervous. My professor just told me to study up my special ed terms. Hopefully all goes well and they like me and I get an interview with a principal at a school. They already offered the job to Brett so he just has to go and see the office an meet the people. Again Lucky! I'm starting to get sick, so I hope I get through it before my interview! It will be nice to have this break. It's hard to go to school now. I love it but I just want to get out there and teach already! Anyways, I swear we'll bring our camera and take pictures. We struggle with remembering to take it:) Oh and does anyone know how to make my picture bigger so it spreads across my page so when people come on they see it? I hope that makes sense... Oh and I finally got my placement for student teaching!! I will be teaching at Mervin Iverson Elementary School in Las Vegas, NV. For my first 30 days I'll be in a 5th grade class and for my last 30 days I'll be in a resource class! YAY! I'm super excited about that! Wish us luck~</span></div></div>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-60607221647851330652009-03-26T20:19:00.000-07:002009-03-26T20:36:45.731-07:00What goes on in Mesquite, stays in Mesquite:)<a href="http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/twoheartsbannercopy.jpg">http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/twoheartsbannercopy.jpg</a><br />I never I thought I could have so much fun this week! It was diffenetly who I stayed with that made it that much fun:) I love those girls! We stayed up every night till midnight or later giggling and talking about everything and anything. Poor Daniel. He stayed with us too! My placement wasn't the most fun thing ever, but I got to see things that I haven't seen before. I was in a ELL classroom. Which means we taught kids who's first language wasn't english. I finally witnessed my first IEP (individualized education plan)! It was very interesting to learn how they ran there meetings and write out their plan. Monday night we had a bbq at the park and some of us played volleyball and it was a blast. We had so much fun! But the sand really hurt our feet. Tuesday night we all went to the Virgin River and ate at the buffet, watched country line dancing, played bingo and went bowling. I didn't win any money at bingo, but my friend next to me did! Lucky girl.. Bowling was hilarious too. My dear friend Monica had an interesting encounter with some guy with an accent. Long story short, he pretty much liked her body and wanted her to know! Priceless. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life! But the best news that came out of this week was I got a call from Mesa School Districts Special Education Director! After playing phone tag, we finally talked and their interested in me and she wants me to fly to Mesa for an interview!!!! I'm so super excited:) And the Leavitt Group wants to fly Brett down there for an interview too! So we arranged it so we flew down there together. The Leavitt Group is paying for his ticket, a hotel and a car to rent for the two days that we are there! Hopefully the district re emburses me for my ticket! But it seems like life as a funny way of figuring it self out. All of the pieces of our puzzle are finally fitting together and I couldn't be more happier about it. I was extremely heistate about moving down there, but I had a really good feeling when I was down there. Oh and another awesome thing that happened was we figured out the situation for this summer. So Brett is going to a manager for Living Scriptures and sell that this summer. We also get to pick out where we are going to live for the summer. So that will be nice. Hopefully we can find something close to the elementary school I'll be student teaching at. Another piece to our puzzle that we found a place to fit it. I was so over whelmed by all this good news this week:) I just thank Heavenly Father everyday for the many blessing he has given to us. He knew when the best time for us to figure this out. Well I'll keep everyone updated on the situation:) Oh and I'll post pictures because my wonderful friends told me how!!</div></div></div></div>~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-55627954143524276572009-03-09T16:37:00.000-07:002009-03-09T16:52:05.982-07:00The Simple Life<a href="http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/twoheartsbannercopy.jpg">http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/twoheartsbannercopy.jpg</a><br />On Saturday, I went to lunch with my friends from high school. I just love them so much:) We talked about old times and what's going on now. And as I was sitting there I realized how simple life used to be. Living with my parents, not really worrying about money or school. And knowing that when I came home food was there and so was my family. But now life is different. I took for granted those times and I didn't listen when people would tell me that things would change. It's the same way for so long that you don't think it's going to happen. I wish I could go back and cherish those moments. Especially with my friends. I didn't believe that we would all go our seperate ways. I thought we would be friends forever. Sleepovers and all. But as we grew apart, I just let it happen. I now wish that I would of kept us together no matter what happened in our lifes. I just miss everything. Life is crazy now. And it all happened so fast. You don't realize all you have until it's not there anymore. I know you shouldn't have regrets, but I do... Well not regrets just dang I wonder what would of happened if I had done that differently. For some reason I thought high school would go on forever and nothing would change. I guess I just feared it. I miss that simple life, with no regrets and your friends and family at your fingertips. If I could go back knowing what I do now, how totally different I would do things. I guess the reason why this all came up again is because soon I will start a new chapter in my life and change is coming. I start getting comfortable and then something happens. I'll be graduating soon and moving to Henderson, NV. But after that I'm not sure what's going to happen. I hope to know soon. You just think that your whole life is planned out for you until you have to start making your own decisions and that's why life gets complicated. Everything in my life has been planned out until now. And I'm torn on what to do. But I know everything happens for a reason and things will turn out for the best. Even though right now it seems crazy, I need to trust in my heavenly father to guide me down the right path. He knows whats best for me and brett. I mostly just want to tell my friends how much I love and appreciate them. They really mean the world to me and I couldn't ask for better friends. I hope we continue this lunch tradition so we can catch up more. I sure do miss you guys:)~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-43952986862112871792009-02-27T09:17:00.000-08:002009-02-27T09:29:00.529-08:00FINALLY!!<a href="http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/twoheartsbannercopy.jpg">http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/twoheartsbannercopy.jpg</a><br />So I think me and Brett figured out what to do after we graduate!! I'm still going to student teach in Hendersen over the summer, but after that we will move back to Cedar to get our masters!! YAY!! That's what I've wanted this whole time! So I'm super excited about it:) But I do have bad news:( I'm sick!! I running a fever and I didn't sleep a wink last night. But I'm babysitting the President of SUU kids all weekend I was nervous to slept in their house alone. And on top of that, their both sick too! It's going to be a long weekend... Oh I have some other good news!! The University of Illinois is asking any type one diabetic to come up there and they can cure diabetes!!! I'm trying to find some time to go up there. There success rate is amazing! And they are on stage three and when they get to stage four that means that they are approved by the FDA for all diabetes to receive this treatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't believe they are getting so close! So if you know anyone with type one diabetes let me know and I will send them the information:)~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-21279123508575134432009-02-24T18:06:00.001-08:002009-02-24T18:10:35.951-08:00Scary experienceSo last night Brett got home and asked me why there was a lawn chair in the middle of our driveway? I had no clue what he was talking about and didn't think anything of it. Until I wake up for school and I was taking my dog out when I noticed that there was a huge log underneath my car... It was pretty scary because the only way it could of gotten under my car was if someone put it there? It was from our neighbors house but he wasn't home last night, he was out of town. Brett was pretty creeped out. He thought someone was trying to either break into the house, or look at me through a window or something. Then when I got home from work there were cop cars two houses down from us. My next door neighbor came home and I told him about the situation and asked what was going now down there. I still don't know exactly why the police were there. But we are both pretty nervous about going outside at night now... Hopefully we'll figure out soon what's going on...~The Anderson's~http://www.blogger.com/profile/11756639095097157177noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598549449006208414.post-36906381805119758392009-02-24T18:02:00.000-08:002009-02-24T18:04:41.426-08:00Struggle...<span style="font-family:lucida grande;color:#6666cc;">So I'm sure everyone knows how bad I stuggle.
